Classic Negroni cocktail garnished with an orange peel, set against a map of the United States

Ground Signal’s negroni menu insights for Q2 2026 examine National on-premise accounts scored across its proprietary venue database, covering more than 106,000 restaurants and bars with an online menu, including over 9,000 accounts with a Negroni on menu. This edition breaks down which Gin, Vermouth, and Mezcal brands are winning share of the Negroni build, and how that mix has shifted year over year.

Key Findings Include:

  • Campari holds 63% menu share among brands featured in Negroni builds nationally — more than four times the next-closest brand, Carpano at 15%. With the Negroni itself appearing on 97% of cocktail menus tracked, Campari’s placement strength functions as a proxy for just how entrenched the classic build has become in the on-premise.
  • Del Maguey and Ilegal Mezcal — the two leading Mezcal brands nationally — grew menu share 26% and 16% year over year, respectively, with no Mezcal brand in the report losing share. The category’s overall footprint remains small (Del Maguey’s 1.0% share is the largest of any Mezcal brand), but the smoky variation is one of the only areas in this edition showing broad-based, category-wide growth.
